In 2015 he entered the MA photography program at the University of Brighton, the reflective nature of this period of study marked a shift in his creative process leading to experimentation with in-camera techniques to disrupt conditioned elements of the image, the resulting work explores the complex relationships between the aura of the photograph, time, space and being.
Equally at home in the world of the analogue or digital image, David is practiced in discussing his work with groups of interested individuals, lecturing regularly to undergraduate and postgraduate students, he recently took part in an experimental photography workshop at the Photographers Gallery in central London.
